Amherst Ballet is excited to introduce our new performance Company and Junior Company—an inspiring opportunity for committed dancers to deepen their artistry, expand their technique, and share their work with the wider community. These ensembles are designed to support dancers who are serious about their training, eager to perform regularly, and excited to engage in meaningful outreach and creative collaboration.

The Company is a semi-professional ensemble composed of technically proficient dancers, including Amherst Ballet alumni and community members who have completed an advanced level of training. Company members are expected to participate in regular classes, rehearsals, and seasonal performances, and will receive private weekly coaching, professional headshots, and opportunities for community partnerships and (eventually) touring. While some dancers may receive honoraria, the true reward is being part of a vibrant, supportive group dedicated to growth and expression.

The Junior Company is designed for younger dancers—typically middle school and early high school— who want more performance opportunities and a higher level of commitment. These dancers participate in weekly classes and monthly private sessions. Junior Company members serve as a training ground for the main Company, gaining valuable performance experience and individualized support.
