During this four-day workshop, students will practice the basics of ballet technique, participate in creative projects, and learn about Emily Dickinson, the revolutionary 19th-century poet who lived in Amherst. From 9am-3pm, students will dance, craft and write, and learn choreography from Amherst Ballet and the Emily Dickinson Museum’s Emily of Amherst, a full ballet about the poet’s life originally performed in 2009. Outside time will be maximized for Covid safety, and the week will conclude in a brief presentation for parents/guardians.
