Spring Performance “The Mask of Zora”

The Mask of Zora

“The Mask of Zora” is an original ballet created and choreographed by Artistic Director, Madeleine Bonn. Set in the time of COVID, the story follows an under-confident young school girl who receives a magic face mask in a dream. The mask gives her all of the courage to succeed in ways she never dreamed possible… until the final exam day when the mask disappears and she must face all her fears without it.

A play on “The Mask of Zorro,” a male vigilante story, this version supports female empowerment while poking fun at various social norms.

Also included are various short works choreographed and/or danced by Amherst Ballet students.

Date and Time: Saturday, June 4 1:00 pm & 5:00 pm
Location: Amherst Regional High School Auditorium

For everyone’s safety, masks are strongly encouraged at the auditorium.

This performance is sponsored by Massachusetts Cultural Council, Amherst Cultural Council, Hadley Cultural Council, and Sunderland Cultural Council.
