This summer, intermediate and advanced dancers will have three opportunities to train with Julian Goodwin-Ferris at Amherst Ballet.
Julian grew up in Houston, Texas, and spent more than 10 years training at the Houston Ballet Academy, dancing in numerous productions with the professional company.
During the 2016-17 season, Julian danced with Ballet Austin. While with Ballet Austin he danced a solo in Septime Webre’s Alice (in wonderland) and toured China for a month, performing in 15 different cities.
Julian graduated from Indiana University Jacobs School of Music in 2019 with a degree in ballet and an outside field in music. At IU he danced the principal in Balanchine’s La Source, and the Cavalier in The Nutcracker, among other ballets. He also trained at Palucca Hochschule für Tanz in Dresden, Germany, and the ballet program at Jacob’s Pillow.
In 2019, Julian joined Miami City Ballet and most recently choreographed Realized Inner Voices, for MCB’s pop-up series To Miami with Love.
