Amherst Ballet Children’s Summer Classes
Back by popular demand, Amherst Ballet will be offering a series of summer technique classes for children. A minimum attendance of 5 sessions per class is required. Dancers may pre-purchase a 5 or 10 session card or drop in and pay at a higher rate. Dancers attending additional sessions will pay the drop in rate.
Creative Movement Mondays 4:45 – 5:30. Appropriate for pre-schoolers ages 3 – 5 ($9 w card/ $10 drop in) JUNE 23, 30 JULY 7, 14, 21, 28 AUGUST 4, 11, 18, 25
Level 1 & 2 Ballet Wednesdays and Fridays 4:00 – 5:00. Appropriate for dancers who have completed Level 1 or 2 or had at least one year ballet experience. Ages 7 – 9 ($10 w card/ $11 drop in) JUNE 18, 20, 25, 27 JULY 2, 16, 18, 30 AUGUST 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27
Level 3 & 4 Ballet Wednesdays 6:00 – 7:30 and Fridays 5:00 – 6:30. Appropriate for dancers who have completed Level 3 or 4 or had at least two years ballet experience. Ages 8 – 11 ($12 w card/ $13 drop in) JUNE 18, 20, 25, 27 JULY 2, 16, 18, 30 AUGUST 6, 8, 13, 15, 20, 22, 27
Dance Exploration Wednesdays 5:00 – 6:00. Appropriate for dancers who have had some dance experience and wish to further explore dynamics of movement. This class seeks to develop a creative style of dance using a combination of ballet and modern freestyle technique with story to encourage improvisational dance expression.
